Several periodical indexes that list articles by topic are available through the Library's home page. These indexes consist of citations that usually include the author(s) and title of an article, the name and date of the publication and paging. In many instances citations are augmented with abstracts that summarize an article's contents. There are also a number of databases available that perform the same function as indexes (i.e. they categorize articles by topic) but also include, selectively, the full text of articles cited.
The following list represents a selected list of indexes and databases that can be used to locate articles on topics related to food and nutrition. Some of these resources are specialist in nature, for example Food Science & Technology Abstracts, while others cover a broad range of subjects.
