SWOT analyses are brief overviews of a company's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. The resources below include SWOT analyses for specific companies.
Students are encouraged to look in company annual reports and in other company filings, (e.g., annual information forms; Management Discussion and Analysis; 10Ks, 40-Fs) for information from which SWOTs may be derived. Information may also be found in industry news and trade magazines, industry analyst articles or reports, and authoritative Internet resources. Companies' websites, as promotion and marketing tools, will contain a wealth of information about their products.
